Rashid Khan breaks Dwayne Bravo's record

Rashid Khan, widely regarded as one of the best bowlers in T20 cricket, has now Rashid Khan breaks Dwayne Bravo’s record to become its highest wicket-taker. The 26-year-old Afghanistan wrist spinner surpassed Dwayne Bravo’s record of 631 wickets during the SA20 Qualifier 1 against Paarl Royals on Tuesday when he dismissed Dunith Wellalage.

Rashid made his debut in T20I cricket in October 2015 as a teenager. Since then, he has modified himself as an impressive bowler in various global leagues, including the IPL, PSL, CPL, BPL, and some other leagues, as well as in the Hundred League. As he nears 500 career matches, his impact on the format is extraordinary.

“It’s an incredible journey,” Rashid said after the victory in SA20. “I never imagined reaching this point. If you’d asked me 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. To represent Afghanistan at this level and be at the top is a matter of great pride. Dwayne Bravo has always been one of the finest T20 bowlers, so to surpass him is truly an honor.
